Rolex Certified Pre-Owned – Rolex is now selling used watches with a certificate of authenticity through its official dealers. This is good news for watch buyers. And not so good for some dealers of used Fake Rolex watches. This means that the Geneva-based luxury brand is entering the market as the ultimate big player, a market that has boomed in recent years and has sometimes led to grotesque price developments – but in which Rolex and the brand’s concessionaires have hardly participated.
SECOND HAND ROLEX WATCHES – INSTEAD OF A WAITING LIST
As some of you know, new Rolex models are usually only available via a waiting list. They are permanently sold out or not immediately available to the average person. Even if the watch you want is on display in the shop window. Because officially it only serves to present the product. And before a buyer goes to a concessionaire and buys a different watch brand or leaves the shop entirely to buy a Rolex for double or triple the list price from a grey dealer, they can now buy a Rolex-certified used watch with a two-year guarantee. The watch you want is now within reach. That is what is meant by “immediate access to the world of Rolex” 🙂
A first look at the Bucherer website shows that the used watches offered there are currently (significantly) above list price. Which doesn’t really surprise me.
And another important piece of information: Certified watches are at least three years old. This means that you won’t get this year’s Rolex novelties with the Rolex Certified Pre-Owned program seal, for example. You’ll have to keep waiting.
