Slightly in the shadow of the new Nautiluses, the Geneva manufacturer presented a new version of the model with a perpetual calendar and a rattrapante chronograph, equipped with a case with a crown on the left side.
The October outpouring of new products from the Patek Philippe replica watches factory will certainly focus mainly on the Nautilus collection, headed by the new version of the reference 5711 – the 5811/G model. This is the watch that the brand’s fans have been waiting for, and they are probably already signing up on the never-ending “waiting lists”. Connoisseurs, especially those with already large Patek collections, will pay more attention to the Ref. 5373P model – especially since it is a definitely unique watch.
Continuing to experiment with “sporty” timepiece models, using grand complications and original aesthetics, Patek presents the Split-Seconds Monopusher Chronograph Pereptual Calendar. At first glance you can see how unusual this watch is, all thanks to the case rotated 180°. Inspired by a unique chronograph from 1927 with a cushion-shaped case and a crown on the left side, Patek prepared the “Destro” model. Its platinum case, measuring 38.3 mm in diameter, has a crown located at the o’clock position. 9. Historically, this solution was intended for left-handed people, but today it is rather an interesting stylistic accent. Next to the crown, the case has a rectangular button flipped to the other side (8 o’clock), responsible for “Split-Seconds”. A very nicely made and finished casing is closed with sapphire glasses on both sides, and a black calfskin strap, embossed in a textile style and with red stitching, is attached to its lugs. The black and red aesthetic – surprisingly original for Patek – is also replicated on the dial.
The base of the dial is a gradient-gray, vertically brushed surface with simple, applied Arabic indices and three small dials, deep black, with a snail cut. The hands responsible for the stopwatch functions are covered with red varnish, contrasting interestingly with the monochromatic rest. The perpetual calendar is complemented by a moon phase window cut into the dial at the o’clock position. 6.
Ref. 5373P-001 is powered by the hand-wound caliber CHR 27-525 PS Q. Werk has two column wheels, 48 hours of power reserve, Gyromax balance clocked at 3 Hz and a set of decorations worthy of one of the best watchmaking manufactories in the world. You can admire it with the naked eye through the caseback window, but Patek also allows you to hide the mechanism behind a full platinum caseback (included with the watch). Importantly, Ref. 5373P-001 will now be the only reference with this mechanism in the offer – the existing models will be permanently discontinued.
Due to the complexity, originality and materials used, Ref. 5373P Split-Seconds Monopusher Chronograph QP “Destro” will be produced in a small number of pieces per year. Unfortunately, its price was not given, which does not change the fact that it will probably be adequate to the complexity and finish of the watch.
