Anyone who has never heard of the Replica Omega Speedmaster, speak now or forever hold their peace. No joke aside, this watch model from the Swiss company Omega became famous thanks to its visit to the Moon. The Omega Speedmaster has since been revisited through countless references to colors and designs, each more innovative than the next.
Today, the Omega brand is back with a more discreet Omega Speedmaster measuring 38mm in diameter, available in pink gold or yellow gold, all with a diamond-set bezel, please.
The two new models, as I told you, are therefore made either entirely in yellow gold or in 18-carat Sedna gold which is a durable pink gold patented and registered by Omega.
For the yellow gold version, we find a completely white dial topped with a bezel with a dark green tachymeter scale. The alligator strap that accompanies this Omega Speedmaster 38mm is also green.
For the second model, we are entitled to a Sedna by Omega gold case (18-carat pink gold). The dial is “cappuccino”, creamy, which brings a real little extra touch of elegance to this version. Here we find a light brown tachymeter bezel, dark brown depending on the lighting. For the bracelet, the latter still in alligator will be taupe in color.
Where Omega stood out is that they designed a double bezel to be set with diamonds while retaining the emblematic tachymeter scale of the Speedmaster. These new Speedmaster 38mm models feature horizontal oval counters located at 3 o’clock, 6 o’clock and 9 o’clock. A small aperture, also in an oval shape, is present at 6 o’clock to indicate the current date. OMEGA was inspired by the counters already present on several watches in the De Ville collection to perfect these two new examples of Speedmaster 38mm.
In terms of nice little details, there are circular indexes with SuperLuminova coating on the periphery of the dial, every 5 minutes. The pencil-shaped hands are also in Sedna gold or yellow gold and SuperLuminova. Without forgetting, a simply sublime case back since we find nothing more and nothing less than the emblematic seahorse medallion of the Speedmaster.
Finally, a few words about the movement of this luxury automatic women’s watch. Both Omega Speedmaster 38mm models are equipped with the Omega Caliber 3330 automatic movement, certified co-axial chronometer, which has a power reserve of 52 hours in total.
PRICE: Allow €14,600 for the standard version, that is to say without the second diamond bezel. For the diamond version you will have to pay €17,600. But honestly, we are not close to 3000€ euros, we might as well opt for a Seamaster 38mm with double diamond bezel.
