It took Replica Hublot 15 years to create the Big Bang version with an integrated bracelet. With the model just shown, the brand follows the unwavering trend for sports watches with a combined case and bracelet construction.
It was 2005 when a model debuted on the watch market, which over time turned out to be one of the most important luxury sports watches. Big Bang developed a certain niche and surprisingly quickly became the favorite watch of celebrities, athletes and other famous (often because they are famous) people in the world. Whether this makes the watch proud remains a debatable topic. The fact is that Big Bang has become a part of the watch landscape. According to the philosophy of the brand’s founder – Carlo Croco – Hublot was to be an avant-garde combination of a watch made of precious materials (originally gold) with a rubber strap. This was also the case with Big Bang, for years only available in combinations with straps made of various types of materials. Until now, exactly a decade and a half after its appearance on the market, the BB will be offered in a version with an appropriately conceived, designed and integrated bracelet. Big Bang Integral debuted at the first LVMH Watch Week in Dubai.
When preparing the BB Integral, Hublot opted (quite sensibly) for the 42 mm version of the watch. To perfectly match the bracelet, the case has been slightly redesigned. Hublot returned to the rectangular buttons from the former BB, and the Arabic hour indices disappeared from the skeletonized dial. The cleaner form of the whole allowed the bracelet to be better integrated with it. Its geometric shapes apparently refer to the above-mentioned buttons. Each row consists of three rectangular elements, finished similarly to the envelope, with satin and polished surfaces. This just adds to the technical nature of the entire timepiece.
The choice of materials used by Hublot is interesting – there is no steel in the list. The watch will be available in All-Black black ceramics, King Gold and titanium. Titanium replaced steel and this seems to be a reasonable move, if only due to the possible weight of the entire watch.
The Big Bang engine remains unchanged compared to previous versions. The watch is powered by the in-house automatic caliber UNICO HUB1280 with a column wheel, flyback and a 72-hour power reserve.
The black version of Big Bang Integral will be limited to 500 copies – one costs EUR 22,700 (approx. PLN 96,500). The remaining two will be included in the regular collection. The gold model was valued at EUR 51,800 (approx. PLN 220,000), and the titanium model at EUR 20,700 (approx. PLN 88,000).
