Perhaps not everyone knows that from a recent survey conducted by Morgan Stanley, after Rolex which is close to 25% of the global market, followed by Omega with 8.8%, in third place with 6.7% is Replica Cartier sitting on the third step of the podium.
Having freed itself from the label of an exclusively fashionable watch brand over 10 years ago, on more than one occasion the Richemont Group brand has shown us pieces at the top of Haute Horlogerie.
However, the Tank undoubtedly remains one of the most iconic watches ever built and not least in the Tank Must version which was launched in 1977. Minimalist, elegant, dressed in an inimitable class, the Cartier Tank Must 2024 – conceived for a wider audience, they continue to be successful timepieces and, although their refined simplicity has been renewed, today they are more affordable than ever.
Cartier Tank Must 2024
Launched these days at the Watches & Wonders show in 2024, the Tank Must have received a subtle reinterpretation in the lines that are even closer to the original models. These are Cartier’s entry models but the impression is completely different: that of having the possibility of putting a timeless and continuously improved watch on your wrist.
The proportions of the dials have also been revised, as has the symbolic winding crown with the traditional blue cabochon stone, not to forget the steel bracelets with rounded links, entirely redesigned and easily interchangeable in total autonomy thanks to the Quick Switch patent introduced in 2018 .
Some models are also solar powered via tiny photovoltaic cells hidden beneath the dial which power the SolarBeatt movement which has an autonomy of more than 16 years.
Then in 2024 the Cartier Tank Must also inaugurates the new Alstrap strap, very soft and composed of approximately 40% of material of plant origin, produced from apple waste grown for the agri-food industry in Switzerland, Germany and Italy.
The 15 variations of the new Cartier Tank Must line
In 2024 the collection is more diverse than ever. With quartz, solar, and automatic models – many of which come in multiple sizes with 4 different sizes – there’s no shortage of options.
The classic model remains the one with a white dial and Roman numerals, but there are also three watches which, characterized by rich shades of blue, green and red, with lacquered dials and without indexes and matching straps, wink at fashion.
